G&D Showcasing 4K and 8K DisplayPort KVM Extender Systems With Integrated ExtremeUSB® Technology From Icron at IBC 2017 in Amsterdam
Next generation DP1.2-Vision KVM Extender Series offering pixel-perfect latency-free UHD video plus USB 2.0 in the spotlight at G&D stand

BURNABY, Canada, Sept. 12, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Icron Technologies Corporation, a leader in USB and video extension technology, announced today that Guntermann & Drunck GmbH (G&D), a leading manufacturer of digital and analogue KVM solutions, will be featuring its next generation DisplayPort KVM Extender solutions incorporating Icron's patented ExtremeUSB® technology at the IBC 2017 Exhibition in Amsterdam, September 15-19.

The DP1.2-Vision-XG supports uncompressed 4K Ultra High Definition video resolution at 60Hz frame rates along with audio, RS232 and full bandwidth USB 2.0 signals extended up to 400m over multi-mode fiber or up to 10km over single-mode fiber. If a higher resolution is required, this KVM extender can support 8K Ultra HD video at 30Hz using two video channels or at 60Hz using four video channels.

For applications where signals require complex switching, G&D offers systems deploying their proprietary HDIP video compression. The DP-Vision1.2 KVM extender supports 4K Ultra HD video at 60Hz with audio and USB 2.0 up to 10km over single-mode fiber or up to 140m over CAT 5e/6/7 cable and can be used in combination with G&D's matrix systems.

Both DisplayPort KVM extender systems incorporate Icron's ExtremeUSB suite of features such as transparent USB extension, true plug and play (no software drivers required) and compatibility with all major operating systems: Windows®, macOS™ and Linux®.

"We are delighted to showcase our next generation DisplayPort KVM extenders with ExtremeUSB technology at IBC," said Jochen Bauer, G&D's Marketing Director. "Both solutions support Ultra HD video that is pixel-perfect and latency-free in conjunction with high-performance USB 2.0 extension."

"KVM integrators require both performance and flexibility to meet the needs of various broadcasting applications," said Glenn Antonelli, Vice President of Marketing at Icron. "G&D's DP1.2-Vision KVM Extender Series provides flexibility for 4K or 8K video at different refresh rates over fiber or copper transmission while featuring flawless USB 2.0 support."

A demonstration of G&D's DisplayPort KVM extender systems with ExtremeUSB will be featured at stand I.B10 for the entire duration of the IBC 2017 Exhibition at the RAI Amsterdam.
