MIST Master delivers 4K real-time upscaling and noise reduction with Digital Vision's THOR
Geneva, Switzerland, 09.09.2015 – Marquise Technologies announced today that the powerful turn-key solution for high-end mastering MIST Master integrates Thor, a hardware system designed by Digital Vision that allows real time or faster image processing.
Thor is capable of processing image sequences or video signals for tape or live operation, and applies demanding algorithms for film and video restoration and also for enhancing and improving digital images.
For now, Thor Ultra 1.0 and Thor Clarity 1.1 are available. Thor Ultra contains three tools: Thor Clean - Noise and grain reduction with clip based analysis; Thor Zoom - high quality upscale algorithm for SD/HD to UHD, 4K and beyond conversions and Thor Sharpen - high quality image sharpening. All three tools are presented in a single GUI to allow optimal processing order and are 16 Bit capable. Thor Clarity, the most famous algorithm includes grain/noise characteristics analysis for automated grain and noise reduction.
“Giving MIST users access to Thor allows them to expand their re-mastering and restoration into UHD and beyond, the Thor Ultra toolset give users a workflow that is ideally suited to ensure the quality and speed is never compromised” said Peter Charles, Sales Director - Global OEM Business.
Laurence Stoll, CEO of Marquise Technologies added: “Thor’s philosophy is perfectly in line with our turn-key solution MIST Master, and this combination gives any post-production facility, archive or broadcaster a new perspective for fast and qualitative content repurposing, especially for the growing UHD content needs”.
MIST Master integrating Thor will be demonstrated at IBC.
